Naomi Sims, whose appearance as the first black model on the cover of Ladies’ Home Journal in November 1968 was a consummate moment of the Black is Beautiful movement, and who went on to design successful collections of wigs and cosmetics for black women under her name, died Saturday in Newark. She was 61. (Via NYT)She sure was a beauty. May she rest in peace.
Yeah!  Thanx for posting different types of beauty!
I was just watching Carlo Tivioli Fall 2009 line with many beautiful models of different ethnicities, Asian, Black, and Caucasion.  Yet, seeing all of them together walking down the runaway, only gave the runway so much more excitement, and made all the girls look much more unique when placed together.
I loved it!
